Use of LED Lights Outdoors

Flat-string LED lamps are small bulbs that are placed evenly in a plastic tube. They can be used indoors or outdoors. LED means light-emitting diode. It was a Russian invention and, until 1960, the United States began to use these types of lamps.

During the 1960s, they only issued the red color, but because of today's technology, they are now available in many colors. They are made even by placing a series of half-watt mini-bulbs in a small tube, which can be translucent or transparent. The lifespan of flat-rope LED lights is usually twenty-five thousand hours of use.

They come in a kit with a power cord, pins to secure the rope wherever you want, a power connector and a bright fifty-foot coil. They can be folded into the shape you want. These rope lamps are very efficient, virtually unbreakable, durable, and environmentally friendly. They are waterproof and use very low voltage.

There are many ways to use flat-rope LED lamps in your yard, including:

  • They can be used to highlight the sides of your sidewalks so that no one slips off the side of your sidewalks. You can use solar-powered ones here.
  • Highlight your stairs by placing the light ropes alone on the steps, but make sure you install them properly so that no one stumbles on them.
  • You can wrap two or more different lights on the branches and tree trunks to give your yard a festive look.
  • If your deck is dimly lit, you can line the railings and sides with purple or blue cords as these two colors are chic and soothing.
  • If you live near the waterfront, highlight ramps and docks with flat rope LED lights.
  • You can also illuminate the edges of your pool by delimiting them with rope lighting.
  • During the Christmas season, you can decorate your shrubs and trees with rope lights to look like a decorated tree.
  • You can also create illuminated stars, crowns or snowflakes using a solid thread to create the frames and align the bright strings around them. Put them in your front yard for a festive look.
  • You can also make small bundles of flat-rope LED lamps to look like a sphere and hang several of them on tree branches.
  • Place them around your window frames to brighten up your home during various holidays.

These are just some of the many ways you can use flat rope LED lights to decorate your home and garden.
